ROCK ON in style.

was a pretty alright day yesterday. went for lunch with family (mom's side) at tai thong imperial china in subang jaya (i don't get why they have to put fancy schmancy names when tai thong chinese restaurant sounds good). about 8 tables were there, mostly my mom's eldest brother's wife's family since it was her who organized the lunch function to celebrate her 50th birthday. as it happens, her birthday and my mom's younger brother's birthdays fall on the 15th of march, mine on the 16th and my aunt (the one who organized the lunch)'s godfather's birthday is on the 18th. was some joint birthday lunch celebration thingy. not too bad. had the usual chinese 7-course meal, complete with sharks fin (yay!) and ended with shanghai pancakes(yay!) =P i love shanghai pancakes. especially those with lotus in them. i hate red bean with a passion.

was supposed to go to summit to climb, but it was raining heavily and i was feeling too fat and lazy to attempt to climb 6A (been stuck at the 6A route for 3 weeks..sigh). next week, i promise. assuming i have nothing to do on sunday hehe.

decided to go shopping in 1utama instead.ran into naz and her mom, but couldn't chat long. went to buy my pants. it was on sale! very exciting :) and very worth it. it's white, 3/4 length (slightly higher than ankle..calf length), and its not THAt transparent, no matter what my mom says :) can be used for casual, or climbing. so its all good. after that, went to get shoes from NOSE. i didn't have casual sandals to go out, my footwear were all either flipflops or sneakers. or the ugly shoes i wear to work. those closed-toe-closed-heel court shoes lookalikes. bought a really cute blue pointy toed pumps :) will look FAB with my new pants. but i still need a belt, hmmmm. popped into braun buffel next door and decided to buy a lilac wallet on a whim =) it DOES NOT LOOK LIKE AN AUNTIE WALLET. it's long and flat. :) and lilac. hehe. i shall post pics later.

i'm a happy camper. :) or rather, i'm a happy climber. a happy climber wannabe. haha. this is a dark brown Black Diamond Girl's Koi Tee (gee what a mouthful). i got it from Pro Shop @ Camp5 in 1Utama at a price they assured me was the cheapest around (cause they were the sole distributors for all things Black Diamond). and the material is fabulous and it makes my body look LONG. which is the best part. it'll look fab with jeans or yoga/track/climbing pants.

did i say i was happy?

haha.

went for dinner at kluang station (its a new kopitiam sort of place in 1utama, lower ground floor, new wing, opposite bread story, next to the "rainforest" entrance). not too bad, but i wouldn't recommend it. my mom complained that her kopi-o-khau tasted like syrup water. eww. i had a glorified teh ais (RM2.80!!) and a nasi w/ ayam masak merah..not too bad, but i've tasted better. bill came up to almost RM20..not worth it. i'd rather go to a mamak and get better food than that.

went home, spent the entire night online chatting with some friends and trading sad sad emo songs. speaking of sad, mellow, emo songs, check out damien jurado - http://www.damienjurado.com. he's excellent. too bad no one's heard of him. i am beginning to think all damiens are all made from the same mould. the sad, emo, jiwang, suicidal, cant-take-my-eyes-off-you, suicidal sort of mould. but good, nontheless.

damn good sunday, if i may say so. now back at work and bored senseless..another 2.5 hours before i can go home.

sigh.

happy monday, guys.

disclaimer: this is a VERY bimbo post. i swear i don't talk like that all the time. usually. =P
